The State that Promises Everything

The worst type of state is that which promises everything to its citizens, the one that claims that it can and it will establish justice and prosperity for its citizens. Such a claim for a state is an inadequate abstraction that creates unrealistic expectations. Instead of believing that the state of prosperity is the result solely of their own efforts, citizens make a claim on the state, which they expect to take care of them and give them a good life.
